Oemeta presents numerous innovations at the AMB

Oemeta with trend product GTL oil on the right track with users and manufacturers

At this year’s AMB, Oemeta will present many new products. The focus is on new experiences, approvals and products regarding the trend topic gas-to-liquids oils (GTL).
A new water-miscible cooling lubricant specifically for the aerospace industry as well as biocide-free universal products and other productivity-enhancing cooling and cutting oils make a visit at Oemeta’s booth worthwhile.

“Recently, three machine manufacturers approved our new synthetic GTL product OEMETOL 610 GT for machining processes,” announces Malte Krone, Head of Product Management at Oemeta Chemische Werke GmbH. Besides the clearance certificates, the three machine manufacturers also report about the neutral odour, positive evaporation and good run-off behaviour as well as low top-up amounts. Most of all OEMETOL 610 GT convinces with higher lubricating performance and longer tool life.

New GTL product for honing processes

In the GTL process, very pure, synthetic and thus, mineral oil-free base oils are generated from natural gas. These are free of organic nitrogen, heavy metals, zinc and chlorine compounds. Still, these oils show excellent performance values. At the AMB, Oemeta presents its latest GTL oil OEMETOL 605 GT, which was primarily developed for honing processes.

Regarding water-miscible cooling lubricants, Oemeta will introduce the new NOVAMET 760. This oil is a specific product for the aerospace industry with an outstanding material compatibility. It is perfectly suited for the machining of sensitive materials and is characterized by a high performance in different applications and a low consumption. NOVAMET 760 is boron- and formaldehyde-free and recommended especially for the machining of aluminium alloys and particularly wrought aluminium alloys. Furthermore, it also shows high stability, long service life and excellent residue behaviour in the machining of steel, grey cast iron, non-ferrous metals and titanium in the processes turning, drilling, milling and grinding. This new cooling lubricant is not subject to classification according to the CLP guideline (EU-GHS).

Specific cooling lubricant for the aerospace industry

At the world’s largest trade fair for metalworking, Oemeta offers a lively exchange of information and is available for all questions dealing with cooling lubricants. Additionally, the company celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016 participates in the joint stand of the PTW institute of the Technical University Darmstadt. The “Innovation Tour” of the PTW institute presents under the motto “Trends of tomorrow” the focuses of its research and working groups in six topic clusters.
